Almost everyone has heard of Sasquatch. Not many people realize, though, a much more terrifying cryptid is stalking the forests of North America and beyond. Of course, I’m talking about Dogmen. The appellation “Dogman” describes a group of cryptozoological beings that are large and sometimes described as looking like upright canids…

If you’ve had a Dogman encounter, I can help you! I’ve helped a lot of eyewitnesses deal with their Dogman encounters.
Have you seen a creature that looked like a Werewolf? If you have, you’re not crazy and you’re not alone. What you saw wasn’t a Werewolf. It’s what’s called a “Dogman.” More people than you’ll ever know have had Dogman encounters. Unfortunately, most of them don’t know who they can talk to about their encounters. That’s where I come in. My name is Vic Cundiff and I help Dogman eyewitnesses deal with the trauma of their Dogman encounters.
Seeing a Creature that looks as scary as Dogmen do isn’t an easy experience to get over. Most eyewitnesses fear being labeled as crazy or being laughed at by friends and family if they share their experience with them. That’s why most Dogman eyewitnesses keep their encounters to themselves and consequently suffer in silence. I call that the prison without walls effect. I created DogmanEncounters.com and Dogman Encounters Radio to combat that problem. If you’re a Dogman eyewitness, you now have someone you can turn to for help. Me! If you’ve had a Dogman encounter of your own, I’d be glad to help you come to terms with your experience and deal with it. If you’ve had a Dogman encounter, please submit a report and I’ll contact you, so we can talk about your experience. The details of your encounter will remain between the two of us if you don’t want to share your experience on this website or on Dogman Encounters Radio.
In 2009, I had a life-changing event while traveling at night, with my wife, in North Carolina. I stopped, due to a noise and came face to face with a 7-foot tall, snarling, upright-walking canine. It had the biggest teeth and most amber eyes. I was able to get to my truck and escape, but the memory of that night stayed with me in nightmares.
Vic Cundiff, who I found on the web by trying to make sense of this, was my rescuer. He is the most understanding, compassionate, and consolatory man that I know. When eyewitnesses speak with him, he is able to assuage their fears and reassure their minds. I know that there are numerous people with whom he has helped to regain normalcy in their lives. He alleviated my fears so much that I have now begun to research the phenomenon. We all have so much to thank him for.

Sharing my experience with Vic gave me the opportunity to verbalize an encounter that I had only written about before. Talking about the traumatizing event gave it a fuller dimension and brought everything back to life for me. I learned a lot from him. He told me how important it was to talk about it and to even think about it because he said, “Each time you talk about it, you give it less and less power over you. You’re regaining control.” That was so true. The first time I recalled the tale aloud, it was to him. Doing that brought tears to my eyes, heavy breathing, a rapid pulse, the whole nine yards. The second time I told the story, it was a little better for me.
Vic not only collects the data but he helps those who have come to share their story on a very individual basis. He takes time with them, like he did with me, to make sure that I was ok, talking about my encounter on his show. He even followed up with me after my interview, asking if there was anything I needed to get off my chest from the event still or if I was still getting scared thinking about it. In this, he is truly special. I’m telling you not only as someone in the research field myself but as someone who needed to talk to someone like him, after having a scary experience.
Recently, I had a Dogman encounter. I thought I was a dead man. Thanks to Vic Cundiff, I have been able to get past that traumatic experience and move on with my life. I know Vic says that he is a radio host, but in reality, he’s a cryptid therapist.
Thank you for giving me a platform to express my encounter. My nightmare. Being able to talk about my encounter with someone who has open ears has been a big help. You’re a great man Vic! This has helped me in many ways. I’m so grateful for having you in my corner.
On Dogman Encounters Radio, I talk with Dogman eyewitnesses about their encounters. Many eyewitnesses have benefitted, greatly, from sharing their experiences with the show’s listeners, in a public venue like that. If you’re a Dogman eyewitness, would coming on the show, as a guest help you come to terms with your encounter? Only you can answer that question. If you think it would, I’d love to have you on the show, as a guest. If you don’t think coming on the show would help you, I’d be happy to just speak with you about your experience, in private.
Already, over 100 Dogman eyewitnesses have come on the show, to talk with me about their encounters. For every eyewitness who comes on the show, there are around 20 eyewitnesses who contact me but don’t come on the show. That should give you an idea of how many people out there are having encounters with Dogmen every year. If you’ve had a Dogman encounter, you’re not crazy and you’re not alone. I can help you.
New episodes of the show air every Friday night, at 9 PM Eastern Time. To find out more about the show, including how to listen, please visit the Podcast page.
